Your Excellency Youssef Beshara, Personal Representative of Mar Nasrallah Boutros Cardinal Sfeir, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, Your Excellencies, Fathers and Dear Friends:

In the Gospels, Jesus Christ teaches us that a leader must also be a server. Jesus charged his Disciples to be the servants of the servants of God.

Anwar Kuri is a role model for this exhortation. He entered into a leadership role in public service for his church and his ancestral homeland, Lebanon, with the three virtues which St. Paul taught us.

He has Faith; faith in his spiritual heritage, his church and his people.

He has hope in his people and his country of origin Lebanon, which he has served so well.

Above all, he served with Charity. Love was his greatest example. He loved so much that his people now return it to him with respect and with love; above all, with Love.

Your Excellency, I am honored to present to you Anwar Kuri

It is my distinct honor and pleasure to present to Your Excellency and to this distinguished assembly Anwar Kuri for the Order of Beit Maroun - The Cross and the Cedar Grade.
